The two-time undisputed heavyweight champion returns to action for the first time in nearly a year. Usyk, 39, was last spotted in the squared-circle back in July when he needed just five rounds to render Daniel Dubois unconscious in front of over 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
This time around, it should be more of a relatively easier fight on paper for the Ukrainian. Verhoeven has only fought once as a professional boxer – which was well over 10 years ago.
