Barca face Disasi struggle

Disasi has reportedly been offered to Barca as they look for cover for the injured Andreas Christensen.

Sport suggests that Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi is another option to provide reinforcements for Barca’s back line, with Disasi’s salary requirements potentially already ruling him out, even on a short-term loan arrangement.

“Disasi would be an option for Barca to rebuild their roster of central defenders, after Andreas Christensen suffered a partial tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee, which will keep the Dane sidelined for several months.

“Several options have been considered as potential reinforcements for Barca’s defence, such as Bournemouth’s centre-back, Marcos Senesi. Now, Axel Disasi has been added to the list, which could be a good option from a sporting perspective but presents a serious financial problem.

“Barca, who are still waiting for La Liga’s ‘OK’ from a Financial Fair Play perspective to return to the 1:1 rule, could hardly undertake a similar operation, or even a loan, considering Disasi’s high salary.”

Crystal Palace stopper Marc Guehi is also entering the last six months of his deal at Selhurst Park, but Real are not said to be among the frontrunners to sign the England international.

Bitshiabu exit ruled out at Leipzig

Reports had recently suggested that RB Leipzig defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu could have been on his way out of the club.

Premier League sides were said to be interested in the 20-year-old after playing just five times for the Bundesliga side so far this season, and an exit now looks unlikely.

German tabloid Bild suggests that the club’s sporting, Marcel Schafer, is unwilling to consider his sale, due to concerns that the squad is not deep enough.

“Leipzig’s management, led by sporting director Marcel Schafer, 41, has internally imposed a transfer ban.”

Ceballos linked with Betis return

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos is struggling to get minutes under manager Xabi Alonso, and he is now reportedly considering his future at the club.

He had an extended loan spell at Arsenal but returned to the Spanish capital, and is now struggling to break into the starting line-up at the Bernabeu.
