Manchester City might not be this year’s Christmas No. 1, but they are hot on the heels of their title rivals Arsenal heading into the second half of the season.
The Gunners lead the way at the top of the Premier League on 39 points, two ahead of Pep Guardiola’s Man City, who next head south to play Sean Dyche’s side, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Following a difficult start to the season for Nottingham Forest, their form has no doubt improved under Dyche, but consistency remains hard to come by as they look to distance themselves from the bottom three.

Earlier in the campaign, they went nine Premier League games without picking up three points with the managerial merry-go-round in full swing, but Dyche has seemingly steadied the ship following Ange Postecoglou’s winless stint.

One thing is for sure, they love entertaining one of the big boys at City Ground, having beaten Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 in their last home match – their sixth win in nine games in all competitions – to move five points clear of the drop zone.

A narrow 1-0 defeat to Fulham on the Monday before Christmas may have dampened their festive spirit, but Forest will be hoping to see out the year with a bang against Guardiola’s side.

This fixture no doubt poses a threat to title hopefuls City, but will they falter and hand Arsenal the advantage, or can they ramp up the pressure on Mikel Arteta’s side?
