Man Utd put huge price tag on Zirkzee

Corriere dello Sport is reporting that Manchester United have put a £35 million price tag on Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee, who is attracting interest from Roma.
However, the Italian outlet insists that the Serie A giants want to bring the 24-year-old in on loan first.
Zirkzee arrived at Old Trafford from Bologna in the summer of 2024, but has struggled to adapt to life in England, scoring just one goal in 10 appearances across all competitions this term.

He has been linked with a move back to Italy for months, but United’s price tag could prove to be a problem.

“No outright €35 million outlay, a figure out of reach at this stage,” read the article.

“Roma are considering a high-cost loan – even above €5-6 million – with an obligation to buy in July.

Fullkrug close to Milan move

Florian Plettenberg says AC Milan have made an official bid to sign West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkrug on loan, with an option to sign the Germany international permanently.
Fullkrug arrived at the London Stadium with a big reputation from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, but his career has stalled since then.
The 32-year-old is yet to score a goal in nine appearances across all competitions this term.

Plettenberg says that he could be on his way to Italy, but The Hammers apparently want an obligation to buy included in any loan deal.

“Understand AC Milan have now submitted an official offer to West Ham for Niclas Fullkrug,” he posted on X. “It is a loan deal with an option to buy.

“West Ham are now reviewing the offer internally. WHUFC would actually like at least an obligation to buy.”

Flick to be offered another Barca contract

Barcelona want to give manager Hansi Flick another contract extension despite him only signing his current deal with the club in May, according to Bild.
Flick guided his side to a La Liga title and the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League last term, and was rewarded with a two-year extension that would keep him in Catalonia until the end of the 2026/27 campaign.

Barca are currently four points clear of bitter rivals Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.

Bild says that the proposed contract extension could keep Flick at the club until 2028.

“After some setbacks, FC Barcelona got back on track towards the end of the year,” read the article.

“Reason enough for the Barca bosses to reward their successful coach.

“According to SPORT BILD information, the reigning Spanish champions want to extend the contract with successful coach Hansi Flick (60) prematurely until 2028.

“Although Flick only extended his contract prematurely until 2027 in May, club president Joan Laporta (63) is already said to be making new plans.”

Atletico want Rashford

Reports from Spain are suggesting that Atletico Madrid will be ready to pounce if Barcelona decide not to sign Manchester United star Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal.

The England international has impressed since arriving at Camp Nou on loan until the end of the 2025/26 season, with seven goals and 11 assists in 23 appearances across all competitions.
Rashford joined Barca on loan after a controversial few months at Old Trafford, which culminated in him admitting he needed a new challenge during an interview with sports journalist Henry Winter.

Fichajes is reporting that he could join Atletico, rather than return to United, if Barcelona do not sign him permanently.

“Atletico de Madrid is interested in signing Marcus Rashford, a forward who is currently on loan at FC Barcelona from Manchester United, for the upcoming season,” read the article.

“Diego Pablo Simeone, always attentive to the opportunities offered in the continental landscape, has set his sights on a forward who hasn’t found his definitive place.

“Marcus Rashford is facing a sporting crossroads that could end with a move to the Spanish capital.”
