The directive comes from a French labour court in Paris, appearing to provide a resolution following a long-running dispute between the player and his former club.
PSG, the current Ligue 1 title-holders, counter-sued Mbappe for €240m (£211m).
The striker won an award of €60m on Tuesday after the court ruled that the French club had failed to pay three months of his wages between the period of April to June 2024, and also failed to pay for an ethics bonus and a signing bonus in his contract.
Mbappe had long been linked with a move to Real Madrid, with rumours that he would link up with the Spanish giants persisting for several years.
Eventually, he joined the La Liga club after his contract at PSG expired in the summer of 2024, allowing him to move as a free agent.
Reuters cited a statement from Mbappe’s legal team which said: “This judgement confirms that commitments entered into must be honoured. It restores a simple truth: even in the professional football industry, labour law applies to everyone.

PSG won the Champions League last season for the first time in history. They did so without their famous forward line of Mbappe, Lionel Messi, who left for Inter Miami in 2023, and Neymar, who departed for Saudi club Al Hilal the same summer as Messi.
Mbappe enjoyed a successful first season in Madrid after initially receiving some criticism from observers and fans for a perceived slow start to his maiden campaign in the Spanish capital.
This season, he has recorded 26 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions so far, with 17 goals scored in 17 La Liga matches.
