The Crystal Palace centre-back will have just six months remaining on his contract and will be free to talk to foreign clubs from that date.

Guehi has been a longstanding interest of several clubs, with his contract running down and a new deal with Crystal Palace seeming extremely unlikely.

Bayern’s priority is to seal the contract renewal of France defender Dayot Upamecano, but they are also hopeful of signing Guehi on a free transfer, with the 25-year-old not likely to be short of options for next year.

Several clubs courting Leipzig’s Diomande

The 19-year-old has scored six goals in 13 Bundesliga matches this season and has caught the eye of several top European clubs.

According to Florian Plattenberg, there are “many more” clubs looking at signing Diomande, but there are no advanced talks with any clubs at this stage.

He has a contract that lasts until 2030 and has no release clause.

Plattenberg said: “Top clubs from England all have Yan Diomande in their sights: Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City and many more.

“Contrary to other reports, there are no concrete or advanced talks with any club.

“Contract until 2030 with no release clause. A move after the World Cup is possible.

“Leipzig are considering a fee of over €100 million. Incredible talent.”

Palace the frontrunners for Bayern’s Boey

Crystal Palace are keen on signing Bayern Munich’s France right-back Sacha Boey in January.

Daniel Munoz has been the first choice right-back throughout his time at Selhurst Park, but now must undergo knee surgery and is out for at least a month.

That leaves Nathaniel Clyne as Palace’s only natural right-back, and according to Romano, Oliver Glasner is hopeful of bringing in reinforcements in the January window.

Boey joined Bayern Munich from Turkish side Galatasaray in the summer of 2024 and has played 36 matches, scoring one goal.

Romano said: “Sacha Boey, expected to leave FC Bayern in January as clubs started calling for the right-back.

“Crystal Palace and more clubs are keen.”

“I think Gabby has a lot to offer to the team and he has proved that in the first minutes he was available to play.

“He has put so much to be in this position again and now the focus is to be with us.”
