Latest Liverpool transfer news including updates on Michael Olise, Mohamed Salah and Antoine Semenyo
Liverpool have been warned there is ‘no chance’ of signing Michael Olise as a replacement for Mohamed Salah. Bayern Munich are reportedly making moves to tie down their star man, and could even seek to damage the Reds’ hopes of landing another possible attacking target this January.
All of a sudden the winter transfer window has become of great importance for Liverpool, owing to the context Salah may now depart. Last weekend the 33-year-old voiced his feelings that he had been ‘thrown under the bus’ by his club, whilst his relationship with head coach Arne Slot has collapsed.
Having spent almost £500m in the recent summer window, the Reds could be forced to dip back into the market for attacking reinforcements. However, former Crystal Palace forward Olise – now of Bayern – looks to be off limits.

The 24-year-old moved to Germany in 2024 and has since made 78 appearances with a return of 29 goals and 37 assists. His current contract runs through to 2029 and Bayern are ‘not afraid’ of losing him to Liverpool, reports Christian Falk.
There is absolutely ‘no chance’ of any club taking Olise from the German champions as they line up a new, improved contract offer.
Emphasising the point, Bayern sporting director Max Eberl told Sport BILD this week: “No one needs to worry about Michael – He has a very good, performance based contract. And to emphasize this again – without a release clause.”
He also confirmed Bayern hold no interest whatsoever in Salah were he to leave Liverpool during the next transfer window. Instead, Saudi Arabian clubs are queuing up for the Egyptian.
Acting as a final blow for the Reds, it is reported Bayern will keep a watchful eye over events at Bournemouth regarding Antoine Semenyo in the coming weeks.
The Ghanaian has been linked with Liverpool and a host of other major Premier League clubs, now Germany’s top club have been thrown into the mix of those with potential interest.
