Eberl dismisses Salah on the left
Bayern Munich’s director of sport Max Eberl has dismissed reports linking the German giants with a move for Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
The 52-year-old insisted that Bayern are more interested in developing 17-year-old sensation Lennart Karl ahead of their 3-1 win against Sporting CP in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.
Karl scored his side’s second goal during the clash, while Salah was left out of Liverpool’s squad for their 1-0 win at Inter after saying that he had been “thrown under the bus” by the club in the wake of their 3-3 draw with Leeds United on Saturday.
Those comments have sparked a series of reports linking Salah with a move away from Anfield, but Eberl does not expect to see him in the Bundesliga any time soon.
“We have an outstanding talent in Lennart Karl,”
Eberl told DAZN before the league phase clash.“Putting someone ahead of him now makes absolutely no sense.”

Roma to end Ferguson’s loan and go after trio of strikers
Roma reportedly want to end Evan Ferguson’s season-long loan with the club in January so they can try to sign either Joshua Zirkzee, Gianluca Scamacca or Arnaud Kalimuendo.
Ferguson has struggled to adapt to life in Serie A since joining Roma for a season from Brighton & Hove Albion in July,
scoring just one goal in 10 league appearances.The Italian side are currently fourth in the table, four points behind leaders AC Milan.
Italian outlet Gazetta dello Sport says Roma will try to sign Manchester United striker Zirkzee, former West Ham United forward Scamacca or Nottingham Forest’s Kalimuendo if they bring Ferguson’s time in Rome to an end.

Four Premier League giants in for Diomande
RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande has caught the eye of several Premier League giants, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The 19-year-old has impressed in Germany this term,
producing six goals and three assists in 13 Bundesliga appearances.
If reports are to be believed, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are all keeping an eye on the youngster.
“Manchester City is closely monitoring the player’s development,”
read the article. “The club values his immediate impact, his efficiency near the penalty area, and a maturity beyond his years of just 19.
“Yan Diomande has become a priority target for Arsenal.
“In London, they believe his ability to unbalance defences on both wings would give the team depth it currently lacks, as well as a constant threat from outside the box in close matches.
“Liverpool also sees the young striker as a unique opportunity. Chelsea, meanwhile, has been tracking him for months.”
Bayern keen on Ecuadorian youngster
Journalist Florian Plettenberg says that Bayern Munich are close to completing a deal to sign 17-year-old Ecuadorian Virgilio Olaya from AD Aucas.
The defender would reportedly be sent out on loan as part of a move to the Bundesliga champions.
Olaya has already
made five appearances in the LigaPro Serie A despite his young age, and Plettenberg believes Bayern want to add him to their ranks.
“Decisive progress in the negotiations between FC Bayern and AD Aucas over Virgilio Olaya is expected before the end of December,” he posted on X, formerly Twitter.
“Campus chief Jochen Sauer is working on the deal. The plan is for the highly rated 17 y/o centre-back to go out on loan in the summer.
“At the moment, Grasshopper Club Zürich have good chance of taking him. Bayern consider him the new Piero Hincapie.”
