Ally McCoist is backing Arsenal to go eight points clear in the Premier League on Saturday – albeit for a couple of hours – while Darren Fletcher is predicting Aston Villa to pull off a shock against the runaway leaders.
The latest round of Ally vs Fletch sees the pair split on the titantic tussle at Villa Park – live on TNT Sports and discovery+ on Saturday from 11:00 UK time – while they also disagree on Bournemouth v Chelsea, Tottenham v Burnley and Leeds v Liverpool.

Fletch claimed a 6-2 win in Gameweek 14 – or as he termed it, “a one-sided beat down”. Can Ally get revenge and reduce the 13-point deficit this weekend?

Selected matches:

Aston Villa v Arsenal (TNT Sports)

Ally: “Tough one to call, it really is. Villa are on a brilliant run. Arsenal have had a good week, no doubt about it – a good result in the derby, fantastic against Bayern Munich, and they might be a little bit disappointed to not beat 10-man Chelsea, but it was still a good result away from home. And I think they might have enough to halt Villa’s run.”

Prediction: Aston Villa 1-2 Arsenal

Fletch: “The game of the weekend. Two teams in form – Arsenal haven’t lost in 18 matches, Villa have won their last six. It’s been quite a turnaround for Villa after a difficult start. I think this might be the game where Arsenal get a little bit exposed, without Gabriel and potentially without William Saliba against a really in-form team. I fancy Villa to win a really good game.”

Prediction: Aston Villa 3-2 Arsenal

Leeds v Liverpool

Ally: “Leeds are coming off a fantastic home result against Chelsea. Their form at home has been very, very good. Have Liverpool turned a corner on the road with that victory over West Ham? Well, we shall find out… I think it’ll be a tight one, but I’m taking Liverpool.”

Prediction: Leeds 1-2 Liverpool

Fletch: “Leeds had a great win in the week. I didn’t think they would beat Chelsea, but they did. They played really well, they had a little back of what they had in the early weeks of the season. This looks like a difficult fixture for Liverpool. On the back of the win against Chelsea, I’m going to take Leeds to take something.”

Prediction: Leeds 2-2 Liverpool
