Obviously I understand the fans’ frustration and of course they have freedom of speech. And we are disappointed also. What I posted (on social media) is that we all should stay really together and in the moments when it doesn’t go so well with the results. I understand that fans pay for tickets, to travel to follow us, to support us. We want to win games and we take the responsibility as Liverpool players. Obviously we want to win and tomorrow, for all the fans that come to support us, we want to give them a good moment.
On his relationship with Cody Gakpo on the left wing…
It’s not really a problem, I think I play well with Cody, I wouldn’t call it a problem. It is my job to give a winger the ball, to make space, to run, to overlap, to underlap, to do everything I can to open space for him to go. And I even create space then for a striker and then it is his decision what he is going to do. We don’t have any problem, we talk always, often in training we do the combinations, so there is not really a problem.
