Man Utd are one of four teams interested in signing Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers this summer, according to reports.

The Telegraph claims the Red Devils, Chelsea, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up potential moves for the England international.

However, it is believed that Rogers could cost between £80m and £90m, which is not a price that fans on X think the club should pay:

Rogers has had 2 eye-catching seasons for Villa

While supporters don’t believe he is worth his current valuation, it is important to point out how well the 23-year-old has played since the beginning of the 2024/25 campaign.

Rogers has scored 24 goals and provided 23 assists for the Villans in all competitions over that period, which is an extremely impressive return.

He may not be the right fit for Man Utd

Director of Football Jason Wilcox is reportedly on the lookout for a new left winger, and it has been suggested that Rogers could fill that role.

However, Rogers’s best performances for Villa have been as a no.10, and spending a sizeable sum on a player only to deploy out of position does not make a lot of sense.

RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande and Everton’s Iliman Ndiaye are also said to be on the club’s radar and they are natural wingers.
