I Am Maximus won the Grand National
I Am Maximus has won the 2026 Grand National. It marks the second title that the JP McManus-owned horse has won, joining Tiger Roll in becoming a two-time champion at one of racing’s most prestigious events.
It also sees McManus become the most highly-decorated owner in the event’s history, with four wins at the National. It also marked a second consecutive win for trainer, Willie Mullins, who also led Nick Rockett to the title last year.
