Ian Doyle with the Liverpool player ratings and scores from the Premier League clash at Fulham on Sunday afternoon
Liverpool suffered yet another afternoon of frustration after yet another dramatic finale saw them held to a 2-2 Premier League draw at Fulham on Sunday afternoon. Cody Gakpo thought he had scored an injury-time winner after Florian Wirtz had earlier equalised Harry Wilson’s first-half opener only for home substitute Harrison Reed to score a goal-of-the-season contender in the seventh minute of additional time.
The result means Arne Slot’s side extended their unbeaten run to nine games and remain in fourth place in the hunt for a Champions League qualification berth.
The ECHO was in attendance at Craven Cottage and here we run the rule over the performance of the Liverpool players.

Alisson Becker 6
Only action first half was to pick ball out of the net from former team-mate Wilson, who later hit bar from rebound after goalkeeper denied incoming Jimenez. No chance with Fulham second.
Conor Bradley 7
Defensive positioning not always on point first half but got more joy out of Robinson after break and strong run created the equaliser.
Ibrahima Konate 7
Allowed plenty of possession by Fulham and looked to play balls down the inside right channel. Strong defending up against the abrasive Jimenez.
Virgil van Dijk 6
Marginally played Wilson onside for opener but some useful interventions after that. Strange clearance after Wilson hit bar, though, and didn’t close down Reed for second.
Milos Kerkez 6
Slightly too obvious with deliveries in final third but good energy levels and commitment. Solid enough defensive outing.
Ryan Gravenberch 6
Too loose with some of his passing before interval and didn’t track Wilson for opener, but among those to demonstrate marked improvement in second half.
Alexis Mac Allister 6
Back at the base of midfield, too safe when enjoying sufficient possession in opening quarter and only got going for spells. Unlucky with header against bar, though.
Dominik Szoboszlai 6
Ineffective going forward on the right flank before break and caught out of position defensively too often, but buckled down second half. Finished game in central position..
Florian Wirtz 7
Far too peripheral first half but created chance for Jones, and improved along with Liverpool and took his goal well. Subbed.
Curtis Jones 7
Close-range flick blocked and released Gakpo for chance and looked to provide a spark throughout. Decent showing. Subbed.
Cody Ga 8
Mishit one shot when sent clear early on but offered focal point to the attack and grew into game, and twice close with second-half efforts before moving to left wing for closing moments from where he bundled in the second. Booked and subbed.
Jeremie Frimpong (for Wirtz 76) 6
Unable to make regular progress down the right flank until crossing for the second.
Federico Chiesa (for Jones 85)
Minutes down the centre of the attack.
Joe Gomez (for Gakpo 90+6)
Welcome return.
