Liverpool are set to compete with Arsenal and Manchester United in their pursuit of a highly rated player compared to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, who could replace Mo Salah at Anfield.
With Salah already confirming he will leave Liverpool at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, the club’s football department will no doubt be plotting a move for his successor.
Several world-class names have been linked with a move to Anfield, including Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise, Juventus’ Francisco Conceição and Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola.
However, a lesser-known player may be set to fill the void left by the Egyptian’s departure.
As reported by TeamTalkLiverpool are keen on RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, with the 19-year-old Ivorian also attracting interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.
The winger arrived at Leipzig from Spanish side Leganés last summer and has taken well to life in the Bundesliga, registering 10 goals and seven assists in 27 top-flight appearances, helping his side to third place behind Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

TeamTalk also claim that sources say the Red Bull group view the starlet as the most exciting player to represent the organisation since Haaland, who played for RB Salzburg during the 2019/20 campaign.
Leipzig reportedly value the player, who is contracted to the club until 2030, at £87.3 million.
As well as the aforementioned interest from the Premier League, European champions Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring the player’s situation, with Bayern Munich also admirers but unlikely to meet their German counterparts’ hefty asking price.
Barcelona also rate Diomande highly, although, like Bayern, they are unlikely to match Leipzig’s asking price.
In March, Liverpool head coach Arne Slot explained how the club’s business this summer will continue to follow the Reds’ trend of signing young players rather than established Premier League stars.
“We have our own model over here, as I have said many times, and our model is that we sign young players,” Slot said.
“It is normal for younger players to have to adapt more to the Premier League than if you sign players who have already played in the Premier League, who are 27 and already at the end of their physical development.
“But that is exactly the reason why we have our model, because we believe players can improve. This club has shown that we can achieve things, as we did six years ago and last season, with our model.”
Liverpool have already signed 20-year-old centre-back Jérémy Jacquet from Rennes, with the defender set to link up with his new team-mates ahead of the new season.
The Reds take on PSG in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday (7 April).
