Real Madrid take on Manchester City in a blockbuster UEFA Champions League encounter at the Bernabeu, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
Pep Guardiola’s side were beaten in their last European outing by Bayer Leverkusen but have since won three Premier League matches in a row and look to be nearing their very best.
They beat Sunderland 3-0 on Saturday to close to two points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Madrid slipped four points behind Barcelona in the La Liga title race after falling to a 2-0 defeat against Celta Vigo, and Xabi Alonso has called on his side to respond in Wednesday’s heavyweight Champions League clash against Manchester City.

Pressure has mounted on Alonso, amid one win in five league games and reported off-field tension behind the scenes, and a game against a purring Man City looks a tricky proposition.

Real Madrid, 15-time Champions League winners, sit fifth in the standings on 12 points, while City are in 10th on 10 points.

This is the fifth season in a row that Man City and Real Madrid meet in the Champions League.

“It’s never an easy place,” said Man City boss Guardiola.

“We missed an opportunity against Leverkusen to be close but we are going to do our game and we have three options to get the points we need to go there (the knockout phase).

“It’s another competition. Hopefully we can play like we are. Always I wish when you go to play on the big stages is play like who we are.”

Here’s everything you need to know on how to watch City’s visit to Real Madrid, live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
