Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia following his bombshell comments on Liverpool and his relationship with Arne Slot. Three possible destinations have now been named for the forward.
Salah was an unused substitute for Liverpool’s 3-3 draw against Leeds United on Saturday evening. It was the third straight Premier League game that he was named on the bench, and the second of the three that he didn’t make it onto the pitch.
Following the game, Salah didn’t hold back when speaking to journalists in the mixed zone. “I don’t know what to say,” Salah said.

“It’s kind of funny, I couldn’t believe it. It’s a disappointing result for us as a team. We conceded silly goals. I could not help my team-mates because I am on the bench.
“I could not believe I was sitting on the bench for 90 minutes. That’s the third time. It’s the first time in my career I think. I am very disappointed, I have done so much for this club over years, especially last season, It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus.
“That’s how I feel it. Someone wants me to get all the blame. The club promised me a lot in summer. Now I’m on bench so I can say they haven’t kept those promises.
“I used to have a good relationship (with Slot). Now we don’t have any relationship and I don’t know why. Seems like someone does not want me in the club. I called my mum and dad and told them to come to the Brighton game.
“It doesn’t matter if I play or not. I’m going to enjoy it. I am just going to be at Anfield and say goodbye to the fans before the African Cup of Nations, because I don’t know what is going to happen when I am there.”
Speaking on Saudi program Action with Waleed, with sports journalist Waleed Al-Faraj, football agent Gharm Al-Omari has now outlined his ‘wish’ for Salah in the upcoming January transfer window.
“I wish him to be at Al-Ahly, but I expect him to go to Al-Hilal, and it may also be Al-Nasr,” he said.
The comments come after Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan sent a message of support to Salah following his comments.
The national team manager posted a picture of himself alongside Salah with a caption that reads: “Always a symbol of determination and strength.”
The two will meet up soon as they look for success with Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations. Liverpool will be forced to release Salah for the tournament on Monday, 16 December at the latest, meaning his final game could be next weekend’s Premier League clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.
