Ex-Man City goalkeeper Ederson is expecting his former club to finish top of the table.
Pep Guardiola‘s side are currently 9 points adrift of leaders Arsenal (albeit with a game in hand), but when asked by Flashscore who he thinks will win the title, Ederson replied:
“In the Premier League, it’s “Cityzao”, right, always. Forget it. City’s final stretch is different to the other teams there, that’s for sure.”
Ederson left the Etihad for Fenerbahce last year, but he clearly still has a lot of affection for his former club, who he spent eight years playing for.

What are the odds of Man City winning the Premier League?
Recent results have drastically reduced the odds of the Manchester club finishing in 1st place. Bookmakers have priced them between 6/1 and 7/1.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are heavy favourites. Some betting firms have the Gunners as short as 1/16 odds-on for the title.
The stat boffins at Opta are favouring Mikel Arteta’s side just as heavily, giving them a 97.54% chance of beating City to top spot. The odds are very much stacked against the Cityzens, even though Ederson firmly believes his former team can finish the season strongly.
Injuries could yet become a key factor
While the momentum on the pitch is certainly with City’s rivals, the Gunners have had a troubling fortnight with regards to the fitness of key players.
12 members of the first-team squad are currently sidelined with injuries, and if those problems persist for the rest of the campaign, it could allow City back into the reckoning.
Of course, even if Arsenal do slip up, a lot still needs to go in favour of Guardiola’s men. They may have to win all 8 of their remaining fixtures to have a chance of securing the title.
