Arsenal are one of four Premier League teams who could make a “mega money” move for Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers, according to reports.
English tabloid The Sun claims that the England international has sparked a transfer scramble by indicating that he is “open” to leaving Villa Park this summer.
The Gunners are said to be “long-time admirers” of Rogers, along with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.
The 23-year-old only signed a new contract with Villa in November last year, but the player is ambitious and wants to be winning trophies on a regular basis.
Can Arsenal afford the player?
The short answer is “no”, at the moment. The Sun say Villa would want between £80m and £100m for the England international.
Due to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules, Mikel Arteta’s side would need to sell a player in order to raise funds for potential incomings.
Reports in France have suggested that Gabriel Martinelli is attracting the interest of Paris Saint-Germain. If the Brazilian did join the European champions over the coming months, it would raise the likelihood of a move being made for Rogers.

Would Rogers strengthen the attack?
Based on his numbers across the last two seasons, the forward would undoubtedly give Arsenal more end product in the final third of the pitch.
Rogers has contributed 47 goals and assists since the start of the 2024/25 campaign. Over that period, he has averaged a goal involvement every 2.09 matches, which is an excellent return.
The fact that he can play in multiple positions also makes him a great asset. This season alone, he has been deployed as a no.10, as a striker, on the left wing and on the right flank.
