Fenerbahçe Istanbul are reportedly mounting a serious bid to sign veteran midfielder Leon Goretzka, with the Turkish club prepared to meet all of the midfielder’s contractual demands should he decide to move this summer, according to Fanatik.

The Bundesliga stalwart — who is set to leave FC Bayern Munich on a free transfer when his contract expires — is attracting attention across Europe, and Fenerbahçe’s interest adds a fresh twist to an already crowded race for his services.

According to the reports, Fenerbahçe are ready to offer Goretzka a three-year deal worth around €7 million per season, plus a reported €10 million signing bonus, as they push to secure his signature ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

The club’s sporting director is said to be preparing to travel to Germany to hold talks with the midfielder’s representatives, and coach Domenico Tedesco — who worked with Goretzka during his time at FC Schalke 04 — is reportedly keen to reunite with his former player.

Fenerbahçe’s interest comes amid strong competition from other European clubs. Reports suggest that AC Milan in Italy are also targeting Goretzka, while clubs across England and Spain, including Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and ARSENALhave been linked with the free-agent midfielder.

Goretzka’s availability on a Bosman deal has made him particularly attractive to clubs looking to add experience and physical presence to their midfield without paying a transfer fee.

Why Arsenal Will Be Watching Closely

For ARSENALmonitoring this situation makes strategic sense even if Goretzka isn’t a confirmed target. The Gunners have been linked with strengthening their midfield as they look to build on a strong 2025-26 campaign and sustain challenges on multiple fronts, including the Premier League and Champions League next season. With Goretzka’s experience, leadership, and box-to-box qualities, he fits the profile of a player who could add balance to a squad already brimming with young talent.

Additionally, if Fenerbahçe or other rivals secure Goretzka early, Arsenal’s options and timing in the market could be affected. The Gunners and other Premier League clubs often monitor free-agent targets to avoid losing out to overseas offers that might lure experienced players away from England.

Keeping a close eye on negotiations could help Arsenal make rapid decisions if Goretzka becomes available and aligns with their tactical and financial plans next summer.
