Tiger Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test after rolling his Land Rover in Florida
Tiger Woods’ ex-wife Elin Nordegren is reportedly “concerned” about him after he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The US golf legend was arrested and taken to a police station after rolling his Land Rover on Friday afternoon in Florida.
The 50-year-old has been released on bail after also being charged with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. While nobody was injured in the crash, Woods had to climb out of the passenger door after the car rolled onto its side.
Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said the 15-time Major champion showed “signs of impairment” and refused to provide a urine sample. Woods was reportedly chastised by his partner, Vanessa Trump, and his ex-wife Nordegren is also worried after the latest in a growing list of driving incidents.
“The kids are close with Tiger, so of course Elin cares too,” a source told People. “She wants him to be well. Both kids are great and love spending time with their dad. Elin’s concerned that he had another car crash and got arrested.”

Woods crashed in 2009 when he was found to have sleeping pills in his system. In 2017, he was charged with DUI after being found asleep at the wheel – something he blamed on “an unexpected reaction to prescribed medication”.
In 2021, he was was fortunate to survive after crashing his SUV at over 80mph near Los Angeles. He suffered significant injuries, including multiple leg and ankle injuries – so bad that Woods later revealed that surgeons had considered amputation.
“His recovery from the crash (in 2021) in California was brutal,” the source added. “(Elin) just wants him to make the best choices for himself. It’s about his health and being there for the kids.”
Woods and Swedish model Nordegren, 46, divorced in 2010 and share daughter Sam, 18, and son Charlie, 17. The golfer is now in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, who was married to Donald Trump Jr between 2005 and 2018.
His girlfriend reacted with anger when hearing about Woods’ latest crash. “She’s not happy at all,” and insider told the Daily Mail. “She’s both disappointed and a little bit p*ssed, if I’m being honest. It’s a definite red flag.
“And she told him that he’s going to get this sorted out and that she’s going to require that. He has to get things under control, or she’s not going to stick around.”
“This is a concerned girlfriend expressing boundaries and saying that he’s got to get his s*** together, like right now,” the source continued.
“He’s very apologetic, from what I’ve heard. (He) wants to fix this. He’s embarrassed, he’s mortified at all this… and this is really humiliating for it to happen again. And Vanessa is embarrassed too. All her friends are like, ‘Girl, what the hell?'”
