Referee told off Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul DURING fight – ‘C***’

Jake Paul could not pull off an upset against Anthony Joshua and was eventually knocked out by the former world champion but was also told off by the referee during the bout

Jake Paul was savagely told ‘fans did not pay to see this crap’ before being knocked out by Anthony Joshua. Those words did not come from his opponent but from the referee as he repeatedly held onto ‘AJ’.

It was only 40 seconds before the fans in Miami had started jeering as Paul attempted to keep his distance before wrestling the Brit to the canvas. The relative novice attempted to give Joshua little chance of finding his range as the former Olympian was seen appealing to the referee by the third round.

Paul lasted six rounds before seeing the bout waved off, lasting much longer than many anticipated he could against Joshua. The YouTuber-turned-boxer repeatedly fell to the ground and held Joshua in a manner that resembled a wrestling takedown.

Referee Christopher Young could only let the antics go so far before bringing the fighters together to admonish them during the fourth round. “Both of y’all come here,” he said.

“Listen, it’s got to stop. The fans didn’t pay to see this crap. If you’re going to fight, you’re going to fight but fight within the rules.

“That was crazy, I had a blast, I’m blessed by God to put on a performance like this. Anthony is a great fighter, I got my arse beat. But I’ll come back and keep winning,” Paul said just seconds after spitting blood onto the ring.

“I’ve already won in every single way in life, my family, my jaw is broken by the way, it’s definitely broke, nice little a** whooping from one of the best to ever do it. Honestly, I’m not surprised, I just got tired, so much handling his weight, I think with better cardio, I could’ve kept fighting.

“I did my personal best. Oh, for sure, we’ll heal the broken jaw, go back, fight people my own weight and go for the cruiserweight world title.”

Speaking at the post-fight press conference, MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian provided an update on Paul’s current condition, admitting that the American was en route to the hospital. “We think he broke his jaw,” he began.

“He’s fine. We met with Netflix afterwards. He took a shower. He drove himself to the hospital. A broken jaw is common in sports, particularly in boxing or MMA, and I think the recovery time is four to six weeks.”

Paul, 28, admitted he will take some time away from the ring before figuring out his next move. he may have little choice and is expected to be handed a mandatory 60-day suspension from the Florida Athletic Commission. That could be extended depending on the results of further examinations.

“It wasn’t the best performance,” said Joshua following his win. “The goal was to get Jake Paul out and hurt him.

“Jake Paul has done really well tonight. I want to give him his props, he got up, time and time again. I just took my time and I got the job done. I refuse to get hurt, I refuse to acknowledge getting hurt. There is no hurt in me.”
