Arsenal fans have been reacting to a fresh injury update from Fabrizio Romano about one of their players.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping to return from the international break in as least of an injury crisis as possible ahead of the run in. But, several Arsenal players have had to withdraw from international duty because of injury.

Gabriel, William Saliba, Martin Odegaard, Eberechi Eze and more have all been unable to feature for their national teams in what is the last break before the World Cup in the summer.

However, Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Martin Zubimendi has also had to withdraw from the Spain national team, as he is dealing with a knee problem.

Romano posted on Instagram: “Martin Zubimendi left Spain camp as suffering from knee discomfort. Arsenal midfielder returns to London and will miss the game against Egypt, official statement confirms.”

The news now makes the midfielder a doubt for Arsenal’s FA Cup quarter-final against Southampton, which comes after the Gunners return from the international break.
