Arsenal man Cristhian Mosquera has revealed that he has received guidance from William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes since the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
Mosquera, 21, has cemented himself as a vital rotational option at his current team since arriving in a £13 million deal from La Liga side Valencia. He has started 14 of his 25 appearances across competitions for Mikel Arteta’s outfit, helping them keep 13 shutouts in 1428 minutes of action.

During a recent conversation with Europa Press, Mosquera shared his thoughts on settling in at Arsenal and asserted that he has offered a good account of himself so far. He said (h/t ESPN):
“I’m very happy in London and I’ve settled in much quicker than I thought I would. We all know the Premier League is a very physically demanding league, and I was already aware of that; many people had told me that, given my playing style, I’d be a good fit for the Premier League. I think that when the time came for me to step up and prove myself, I did well.”
Claiming that Saliba and Magalhaes have both acted like family members to him in the ongoing campaign, Mosquera continued:
“From day one, the two of them have been by my side, giving me advice and always trying to look after me, like parents, like older siblings. I’m very grateful to them. They are two of the best centre-backs in the world, and it’s a pleasure and a privilege to train with them and watch them play every weekend.”
Mosquera could next be in action in his team’s FA Cup quarter-final contest against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium on Saturday (April 4).
Cristhian Mosquera reckons Arsenal can notch first UEFA Champions League this term
Speaking to Europa Press, Cristhian Mosquera backed Arsenal to win their maiden UEFA Champions League trophy at the end of this season. He said (h/t ESPN):
“In recent years, Arsenal haven’t quite achieved what they set out to do, but I think we’re ready this year. We know we have the chance to win titles. We’re going to do everything we can to bring joy to the fans. In the Champions League, I think we’re doing pretty well this year, we’re in the quarter-finals now, and hopefully we can go further and win it.”
Arsenal, who are leading the Premier League standings by nine points, will take on Sporting CP in the Champions League quarter-finals. They will travel to Lisbon for their first leg clash on Tuesday (April 7).
