There is a certain art behind having a solid away record in the Premier League. Not every team can do it – such an achievement generally requires a specific setup, not to mention plenty of physicality and mental robustness.
Today, we’ll be looking at the five Premier League teams who have accumulated the best away records during the 2025/26. There are a couple of surprising teams in there – can you guess who made the list?
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace have had a season of peaks and valleys, but most of their success has come away from home – conversely, they have struggled when playing at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles have won 23 points on the road this season – far more than they have at home. Additionally, they are one of just four Premier League teams who have a positive away goal difference away.
With Oliver Glasner due to leave the club at the end of the season, can Palace keep up their solid away form into next season? This remains to be seen.
Everton
David Moyes hasn’t turned Everton into the best team in the Premier League, but he has made them hard to beat – and intimidating to face.
He hasn’t turned the Hill Dickinson Stadium into a fortress yet, but he has made Everton into a dangerous away outfit, with 24 points earned from 15 games on the road.
The Toffees have beaten teams such as Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Manchester United in their own back gardens this year – if they can work on their home form, Everton could aim for European football next season.
Manchester City
Manchester City might be the second-best team in the Premier League this season (as things stand), but they’re only the third-best away team.
They have been much better at home, but their away form is still formidable – with 25 points from 15 games, the Sky Blues have only lost four away games in 2025/26.
City are a team that like to dominant possession – such an approach generally doesn’t work too well away from home, but Pep Guardiola has found a way to make it work.
Chelsea
Chelsea have had a tumultuous season – Enzo Maresca failed to meet expectations and Liam Rosenior hasn’t done much better. Nevertheless, their away form has remained consistently good throughout the campaign.
The Blues have actually won more away games than they have at Stamford Bridge – they have six home wins and seven away wins over the course of the 2025/26 season.
If they want to make progress, Rosenior will have to address their dreadful home form, but their excellent performances on the road will give them something to build upon.
Arsenal
Not only are Arsenal the best away team in the Premier League this season, they’re also the best home team – the Gunners are sitting at the top of the table for several good reasons.
All of the other teams in this list have won seven away games in the current campaign. For comparison, Arsenal have won nine – they also have the best away goal difference out of the quartet.
Despite a couple of recent setbacks, the Gunners still look primed to win the title at the end of the season, with their fantastic away form playing a key role behind their success.
