Arsenal are reportedly looking to replace Gabriel Martinelli with one of Martin Odegaard’s international teammates.

The Gunners are hoping to get back to winning ways in their next game, which comes against Bournemouth in the Premier League. It comes after they managed to get a 1-0 lead in their Champions League quarter-final against Sporting CP.

Arsenal will hope they go into summer with at least one trophy, being the Premier League, but they will also be keen to improve their squad regardless of how much success Mikel Arteta has this season.

Gabriel Martinelli‘s contract is due to expire at the end of next season, and Arsenal aren’t yet set on extending his deal, so they may decide to sell him, and sign a replacement in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal eye Odegaard’s international teammate Hauge

Martin Odegaard will be pleased with the recent transfer rumours, as one name that Arsenal have been linked with as a potential replacement for Martinelli, is Norway and Bodo/Glimt winger Jens Petter Hauge, who has played with Odegaard for Norway.

According to SportsBoomArsenal manager Arteta has been personally impressed by Hauge in the Champions League this season, during what was a sensational run by Norwegian minnows Bodo/Glimt.

It is understood that the Gunners could look to sign the 21-year-old in the summer, he has an estimated market value of just £10m, so he could end up being a real steal. This season, the left-winger has made 14 Champions League appearances for Bodo/Glimt, scoring six goals, and providing six assists.

If Martinelli were to leave in the summer, the Gunners would be able to get more than £10m for him, so they could replace him with Hauge and ending up making a significant profit, considering that Martinelli’s market value is around £40m.
