Maizie Trueman has become the youngest ever player to appear for Liverpool FC Women in a competitive fixture.

Trueman made her debut for the Reds at the age of 16 years and 88 days by starting Sunday’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup tie at London Bees.

She beat the club’s previous record of 16 years and 150 days set by Liverpool teammate Lucy Parry.

The new record-breaker is an Academy graduate for the Reds and featured in the 6-0 victory in the capital.
