Ter Stegen set to join Barcelona’s rivals
Spanish outlet Cadena Ser are reporting that the Germany international is set to join Girona on a loan deal until the end of the campaign.
However, he has only made one appearance for the club this season, with summer recruit Joan Garcia above Ter Stegen in the pecking order under Barca boss Hansi Flick, which has led to the German looking for a move away from the club.
“Only the last details remain to finalise the loan of the German goalkeeper, who will play at Montilivi until June.
“Ter Stegen will waive his salary, and Girona will pay what they can afford.”

There could be some news on the defensive front with the reigning Bundesliga champions unlikely to pursue Schlotterbeck, which could open the door for a potential transfer to Anfield.

The Spanish publication claims that Barca are unwilling to make a public decision on Lewandowski’s future, but understand that clubs from Saudi Arabia and the United States are willing to break the bank for the Poland international in terms of his salary.
Lewandowski will turn 38 at the start of the 2026/27 campaign, and it is reported that the Catalans are looking at alternatives up top, with the club keen to keep Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford.

Alaba close to Real Madrid departure
The Spanish publication reports that the 33-year-old is close to joining Turkish outfit Besitkas, although there are still some details to be sorted before the deal is finalised.
The outlet reports: “Besitkas are dreaming of signing Alaba. AS has confirmed the Black Eagles’ interest in the Austrian defender, a fact corroborated by the club’s head of transfers.
