Gameweek 21, which was held between January 6 and January 8, saw some high-scoring games and several surprise results.
Igor Thiago continued his fine form for Brentford, scoring twice in their 3-0 win against Sunderland, while Manchester United’s summer signing Benjamin Sesko also bagged a brace in his side’s 2-2 draw with Burnley.
In stark contrast, some reliable FPL performers such as Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella under performed.
Foden only bagged two points in a 1-1 draw against Brighton, while Cucurella cost his backers three points after being shown a red card at Craven Cottage.

The likes of Erling Haaland, Gabriel Magalhaes and Thiago may be non-negotiables but as we head deeper into the second half of the season, picking the right differentials is more important than ever.
With that in mind, here are three players who could make a massive difference during Gameweek 22.
As ever, the categories are:
Player 1: Max 10% ownership
Player 2: Max 5% ownership
Player 3: Max 2% ownership
FPL players only have until the 11:00 UK time deadline on Saturday, January 17, to make changes to their side ahead of a full round of fixtures.
1. Cody Gakpo, £7.3m (Midfielder, Liverpool, 5.6%)
In recent weeks, the Dutch star has picked up six points in Gameweek 20 before adding another three to his tally against Arsenal on January 8.
The Reds will face Burnley at Anfield on Saturday and Arne Slot’s side will be big favourites.
Scott Parker’s team have the joint-second worst defence in the league as things stand having conceded 41 goals in 21 games.
Gakpo is always a goal threat and, at £7.3 million, FPL players can get him in their team without breaking the bank.
For those reasons, it is definitely worth getting the versatile star in your FPL side for Gameweek 22.
2. Cristian Romero, £5.0m (Defender, Tottenham, 3.8%)
Tottenham have had a rollercoaster start to life under Thomas Frank, most recently being dealt a 3-2 defeat against Bournemouth in Gameweek 21.
Spurs may be languishing in 14th place in the Premier League table, but their biggest issues have been in front of goal rather than in defence.
Frank’s side will face West Ham on Saturday, with their London rivals currently in the relegation zone, seven points behind Nottingham Forest in 17th.
They will follow that up with another favourable fixture, an away game against Burnley.

Burnley and West Ham are two of the five lowest-scoring sides in the division,so it is definitely worth getting some Spurs defenders in your side ahead of a crucial couple of weeks for the North Londoners.
Romero already has 73 fantasy points to his name this term and he will no doubt be hoping to add to that in his side’s next two matches.
3. Enzo Le Fée, £4.9m (Midfielder, Sunderland, 1.0%)
Sunderland have been one of the surprise packages of the season and Enzo Le Fee has been key to their success.
The Frenchman has produced four goals and two assists in 20 league appearances this term, while he has also picked up fantasy points due to Sunderland’s water-tight defence.
The Black Cats have the third-best defensive record in the league ahead of the visit of Crystal Palace.
Sunderland and Le Fee will be hoping to twist the knife at the Stadium of Light this weekend, so be sure to get the midfielder in your team.
