However, amid the news of Alonso’s departure, the 22-year-old took to social media and said: “Thank you, Mister. It was a pleasure, all the very best for the future.”
Bellingham then hit back at suggestions of a falling out, writing on his app JB5: “Until now I’ve let far too many of these (reports) slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time.

Meanwhile, Mbappe, who started in 24 games under Alonso this term, also paid tribute to Alonso.
Writing on Instagram, Mbappe said: “It’s been short, but it was a pleasure to play for you and learn from you. Thank you for giving me the confidence since Day 1.
“I will remember you as a manager who had clear ideas and knew many things about football. Best of luck for your next chapter.”
Brazilian striker Rodrygo also expressed his gratitude to Alonso, adding: “Coach, thank you for every day we’ve shared, for the trust, the learning, and the moments we’ve experienced.
“I wish you much success on your future path. May your career continue to grow! All the best always.”
Thibaut Courtois, Antonio Rudiger and Dani Carvajal were also among a spate of Madrid players to thank Alonso after his departure.
