The latest Liverpool transfer news as a winger makes his feelings clear on the Reds and the Marc Guehi saga takes yet another twist

Liverpool maintained their undefeated streak against Arsenal this week, but injuries are starting to take a toll. The Reds have yet to strengthen their first team in this transfer window, however, Arne Slot has brought in 19-year-old defender Noah Adekoya from Burnley.
A deal is also believed to be nearing completion for 18-year-old centre-back Mor Ndiaye, while Austria Vienna’s young talent Ifeanyi Ndukwe is also rumoured to be close to a move to Anfield.
However, fitness issues and absences are beginning to impact the senior squad. Mo Salah is currently on duty at the Africa Cup of Nations for Egypt, Alexander Isak is sidelined with an injury for some time, and Hugo Ekitike has been missing recently due to a minor fitness issue.

Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are the only fit first-team centre-back duo at the club. Right-back Conor Bradley also sustained an injury in the draw with Arsenal on Thursday.

Winger open to move
Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis has stated that he would only consider leaving his current team if Liverpool or Barcelona were to approach him. The left-winger has netted 11 goals and provided nine assists so far this season.
Speculation surrounding the 23 year old’s future is intensifying, and he has clarified the rumours, stating that he is content where he is unless a major team makes a move for him.
“I’m not aware of any concrete interest at the moment, so I’m not even considering it. Maybe you know more than I do (laughs),” Tzolis told Het Nieuwsblad.
“I’d like to win the title here first. Although you never know, so I can’t say with 100% certainty that I’ll stay this winter. If a crazy team comes along, like Barcelona, Liverpool… Anyway, you know what I mean. But I don’t think that will happen in the winter.”

England international Guehi is reportedly prepared to bide his time before committing to his next destination. The 25-year-old has been persistently linked with Liverpool, having come close to joining the Merseyside club on transfer deadline day last summer before the move fell through at the eleventh hour.
Guehi’s contract expires in the summer, with Manchester City, Arsenal, Barcelona and Bayern Munich all reportedly monitoring the defender. Reports suggest City are eager to secure his signature this month.
The Citizens are understood to be particularly keen in January following injuries to Josko Gvardiol, Ruben Dias and John Stones. However, talkSPORT have reported that Guehi may opt to delay his decision and assess his options after the World Cup.
The report suggests that Guehi is confident that continued performances at Crystal Palace will secure him a starting berth in Thomas Tuchel’s squad for this summer’s tournament. Whilst Guehi is reportedly content to wait, there is speculation that the Eagles might favour an immediate sale, with the club seeking a fee exceeding £35million.
Discussing his player’s future, Palace manager Oliver Glasner said: “There will be a threshold where the club has to say (sell) If the player says: ‘I want to leave’ and the money is above the threshold, it will happen. I’m not so naïve not to know that if a massive offer comes from City and Marc wants to do it, it will happen.”
