Arsenal have reportedly made contact over a potential summer move for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia following his standout performance in Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-0 victory against Liverpool in the Champions League.
According to fresh reports, the Gunners have stepped up their interest after the Georgian winger delivered a decisive display, scoring and tormenting Liverpool’s defence throughout the quarter-final first leg. His performance has only intensified admiration from north London, with sources claiming initial contact has now been made to explore a possible deal.
Kvaratskhelia was widely regarded as one of the best players on the pitch, producing a dazzling solo goal and consistently creating problems with his dribbling and movement. Reports suggest his display “excited” ARSENALinternally, reinforcing a long-standing interest in the winger.
The 25-year-old has quickly become a central figure at PSG since joining in 2025, playing a key role in their recent domestic and European success. Known for his creativity, flair and end product, he is widely viewed as one of the most dynamic wide players in world football.
However, any move is expected to be complicated. PSG are reluctant to sell one of their marquee players and would likely demand a huge fee, potentially reaching record levels. Arsenal are also not alone in their admiration, with multiple top clubs monitoring the situation.
Despite these obstacles, Arsenal’s interest appears genuine as Mikel Arteta continues to reshape his attacking options ahead of next season.
Would Kvaratskhelia be a good signing for Arsenal?
On pure ability, Kvaratskhelia looks tailor-made for Arsenal. His ability to beat defenders one-on-one, operate in tight spaces and contribute both goals and assists would add a new dimension to Arteta’s attack. He thrives in high-possession systems, making him a natural stylistic fit.
Crucially, he brings unpredictability. ARSENAL’s current attack can sometimes become structured and predictable; Kvaratskhelia’s improvisation and flair would offer something different, particularly against deep defensive blocks.
There are, however, legitimate concerns. The financial outlay would be enormous, and PSG’s reluctance to sell means Arsenal could be drawn into a prolonged and expensive pursuit. Investing such a large portion of the budget in one player could limit reinforcements in other key areas, such as midfield depth or striker options.
There is also the question of adaptation. While he has excelled in Ligue 1 and Europe, the Premier League presents a different physical and tactical challeng
