Arsenal are reportedly considering a late attempt to disrupt Atlético Madrid’s move for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, with the Premier League side prepared to match the personal terms the Brazilian is said to have agreed with the Spanish club.

Atalanta, meanwhile, are expected to demand a significant transfer fee after Ederson’s standout campaign in Serie A and in Europe. The Italian side are understood to be willing to sell at the right price, but would prefer a swift resolution, particularly with pre-season preparations not far away.

Given Ederson’s career trajectory and desire for growth, a move to Arsenal cannot be ruled out. But unless the club can present a compelling sporting project—one that feels more secure than recent years—the advantage may still lie with Atlético.
