But what has Shearer said in the aftermath of their defeat at the weekend?<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u2018Incredibly tough\u2019 \u2013 Shearer offers new look on Arsenal\u2019s Premier League title dreams<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>On home soil, Saints forward Ross Stewart opened the scoring in the 35th minute after he latched onto the ball and struck his effort past Kepa Arrizabalaga. Victory went to the better side on the night,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/sport\/football\/arsenal-fc-premier-league-title-fa-cup-shearer-b1277715.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the Premier League record goalscorer said in the wake of Arsenal\u2019s 2-1 loss<\/a>per <em>The Standard<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Betfair, he also said: \u201cAfter Arsenal got knocked out of the FA Cup, it will be incredibly tough for them, mentally, to go on and achieve what they want to achieve.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt wouldn\u2019t surprise me if Man City won the FA Cup. They\u2019ve already got one trophy in the bag. I don\u2019t think (City) are going to win the league. They can\u2019t win the Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know they\u2019ve got a tough draw, but I do think with their history and with their experience, they may be the favourites to win it. Now they\u2019ve got through the quarter-final against Liverpool, I think they\u2019ll win it.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Analysis Arsenal and Man City\u2019s Premier League run-in<\/strong>s<\/h2>\n<p>As mentioned, a total of nine points currently separate the two challengers for the title \u2013 but Pep Guardiola and his men do have a game in hand. They are also set to face one another this month.<\/p>\n<p>We are really now in the business end of the campaign and it\u2019s not likely that things will get any easier for Arteta.
