However, Shea Charles&#8217;s winner five minutes from time eliminated Mikel Arteta&#8217;s side, who had lost 2-0 to Manchester City in the EFL Cup final last month.<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"template__newsletter-inline-banner-form-combo-widget\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<p><img id=\"subscribe-img\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Thanks for the submission!\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>The defeat was soured by Gabriel, 28, going off in the 73rd minute, with his right knee later seen with an ice pack, having not featured in last month&#8217;s international break with Brazil. Commenting on the defender&#8217;s condition, Arteta said (as per <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2026\/04\/04\/gabriel-magalhaes-injury-update-arsenal-star-limps-off-fa-cup-disaster-27856025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Metro<\/a>):<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;\u2018I don\u2019t know. He felt something, we don\u2019t know exactly what it is.
