Liverpool transfer target Yan Diomande is \u201cnot unsellable\u201d this summer, according to Sky Germany<\/em> reporter Philipp Heinze.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The journalist claims<\/a> that RB Leipzig are planning to hand the Ivorian international a new contract, but it won\u2019t change their stance on a potential sale.<\/p>\n

It is believed that the Bundesliga side are open to offloading Diomande, but only if a team is willing to pay \u20ac100m (\u00a387m).<\/p>\n

No release clause will be included in Leipzig\u2019s contract extension either, so it means Liverpool and other interested clubs such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea must match Leipzig\u2019s valuation if they want the player.<\/p>\n

Salah\u2019s departure means there is a big hole to fill<\/h2>\n


While many fans did expect the Egyptian international to part company with the Reds this summer, following a serious drop off in form this season, the fact that he is leaving on a free transfer means the Merseysiders are left with limited funds to find his successor. Nobody expected a bid the size of \u00a3150m that was turned down from Al-Ittihad in 2024, but his sale would have given the club much greater flexibility in the transfer market.<\/p>\n

Diomande\u2019s sizeable price tag would likely have been more attainable if Salah was sold at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Liverpool don\u2019t have any easy solutions<\/h2>\n

The Reds are believed to have identified Bayern Munich\u2019s Michael Olise, Paris Saint-Germain\u2019s Bradley Barcola and Juventus\u2019s Francisco Conceicao as targets, along with Diomande.<\/p>\n

However, neither Olise nor Barcola are available for transfer, and they would be even more expensive than Diomande if they were on the market. Conceicao, meanwhile, does not possess the same quality as the other options, and he has already committed to staying<\/strong> at Juve.<\/p>\n

It means that sporting director Richard Hughes has been left with a difficult choice to make. Do you splash out on Diomande, knowing you would be overpaying, or do you find a cheaper, less satisfactory alternative?<\/p>\n
