Wayne Rooney says that Manchester City have the edge over Arsenal in the Premier League title race. <\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta\u2019s side suffered a blow to their title hopes when they lost 2-1 to Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. <\/p>\n

City capitalised on the Gunners\u2019 result as they thrashed Chelsea 3-0 on Sunday to cut the gap to just six points with a game in hand.<\/p>\n

Former Manchester United star Rooney believes City will win the title.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Wayne Rooney Show<\/a>he said: \u201cI think City will have the edge on that, just purely the manager and players they\u2019ve got. They will be able to stay a little calmer than the Arsenal players.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey will be worried because when you go on a run and lose a few games, you start thinking \u2018where\u2019s the next goal, the next win going to come from?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThat negative mindset really has an impact on your performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

After finishing second for the past three years, Arsenal are desperate to finally end their Premier League trophy drought this season. <\/p>\n

Losing to Bournemouth at home was a big blow, as it was the easiest of their remaining fixtures. <\/p>\n

Arteta\u2019s side now face Man City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, which is widely viewed as a title-decider. <\/p>\n

Newcastle United are set to visit the Emirates on April 25, before they take on Fulham at the same venue. <\/p>\n

Arsenal then visit West Ham United, followed by a home clash with Burnley. <\/p>\n

They will conclude their league campaign with a trip to Crystal Palace on the final day. <\/p>\n

City came away with maximum points from their hardest game of the run-in at Chelsea.\u00a0They are now aiming for another big victory against Arsenal to further reduce the gap with them. <\/p>\n
