Gary Neville has reminded Arsenal they have the chance to \u2018win the Premier League\u2019 by beating Manchester City next weekend after their title rivals brushed aside Chelsea.<\/p>\n

The Gunners, without a league title since 2004, had the chance to move 12 points clear at the top of the table as they welcomed Bournemouth to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.<\/p>\n

But Mikel Arteta\u2019s side produced another underwhelming display, suffering their third defeat in four games to give Man City more hope in the title race.<\/p>\n

Pep Guardiola\u2019s team still had to respond by securing three points against Champions League-chasing Chelsea and made light work of the Club World Cup champions, winning 3-0 in a statement win at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Chelsea kept Man City at bay in a cagey first half but were blown away after the break, with Nico O\u2019Reilly, Marc Guehi and Jeremy Doku scoring in an impressive victory.<\/p>\n

City\u2019s win at Chelsea means they will trail Arsenal in the title race by just six points when they meet at the Etihad Stadium next weekend.<\/p>\n

Neville says the spotlight will be on Arsenal throughout the week but has reminded Arteta\u2019s team they have the opportunity to essentially clinch the title by winning at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

Asked whether Man City\u2019s win over Chelsea was another \u2018punch in the gut\u2019 for Arsenal following their defeat to Bournemouth, Neville said on Sky Sports \u2018You\u2019re\u00a0right but they would have expected Man City to win this football game.<\/p>\n

\u2018Arsenal\u00a0have\u00a0to concentrate on what\u00a0they\u2019re going to do\u00a0to\u00a0Man City next Sunday. Arsenal can win the league next weekend \u2013 that\u00a0won\u2019t\u00a0be a\u00a0popular narrative this week but\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0the fact of it.<\/p>\n

\u2018Everyone is thinking City will get to within three points but if\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0Arsenal you can win your first\u00a0title in 22 years next week,\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0how they should look at it.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019ve got an enormous game next weekend, a game that will define the Premier League season. Manchester City are smelling blood and have a free week to prepare for a monstrous clash.\u2019<\/p>\n

Neville added: \u2018It just feels like\u00a0Man City are starting to purr at the right time.<\/p>\n

\u2018We\u2019re\u00a0in the home straight now, the period when every game really does matter, and this team know that more than most.<\/p>\n

\u2018The message\u00a0they\u2019ve\u00a0sent to arsenal is not only that\u00a0they\u2019ve\u00a0won and won well but also that\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0playing with confidence and\u00a0they\u2019ve\u00a0got a bit or arrogance about them.<\/p>\n

\u2018They\u2019re\u00a0in a real title race now and\u00a0they\u2019re\u00a0breathing down the neck of\u00a0Arsenal.\u2019<\/p>\n

Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards, meanwhile, described next week\u2019s clash between the title rivals as \u2018humungous\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s on now,\u2019 Richards said. \u2018They have got the win. Now next week is humungous. I cannot wait!<\/p>\n

\u2018The fans believe and they have not stopped believing, the away fans are brilliant. I\u2019m not saying they are going to go and win it but they have given themselves a chance and that\u2019s all they can do.\u2019<\/p>\n

Gabriel Martinelli scored an injury-time equaliser as Arsenal drew 1-1 with Manchester City in the reverse fixture back in September.<\/p>\n

Guardiola and Arteta went head-to-head in last month\u2019s Carabao Cup final, with Man City beating the Gunners 2-0 to win the first trophy of the season.<\/p>\n
