Liverpool are keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen forward Christian Kofane, according to reports.<\/strong><\/p>\n

TEAMtalk<\/em><\/a> claim that the Reds and Manchester City have \u201cmade contact\u201d to register their interest in the Cameroon international.<\/p>\n

Kofane has attracted the attention of several clubs, with his agent Eric Depolo confirming that the likes of Arsenal had been in touch about the player, along with Chelsea, Newcastle United, Everton, Brentford, Barcelona and Bayern Munich.<\/p>\n

It appears Liverpool and City have decided to add their names to the long list of potential suitors.<\/p>\n

What do Liverpool fans need to know about the player?<\/h2>\n

The 19-year-old has not been on the scene particularly long. He joined the youth academy of Spanish side Albacete in the summer of 2024 after moving from his native Cameroon.<\/p>\n

Kofane scored on his senior debut against Racing Santander in January last year, and he ended the 2024\/25 season with 8 goals and 1 assist in 20 appearances.<\/p>\n

Leverkusen spent just over \u20ac5m to bring him to Germany in July 2025, and he has gone on to score 7 goals and contribute 8 assists this campaign. He also received his first caps for Cameroon at the African Cup of Nations, where he scored two goals.<\/p>\n

Kofane\u2019s agent has talked up his potential<\/h2>\n


When confirming interest from Arsenal and other teams, Depolo predicted that the teenager could become a world-class player in the future:<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is a \u20ac100m player. With Kofane, Arsenal will have a top striker for the next 10 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kofane has yet to prove he can score on a regular basis at the highest level, but he is clearly doing something right based on the number of clubs who have signalled their interest in the forward.<\/p>\n
