Littler, 18, lost the first set before blasting past 23-year-old Van Veen to lift the Sid Worrell Trophy.<\/p>\n
Midway through the final, Littler was stopped in his tracks by a wasp. And in another peculiar incident, organisers were forced to change the board, as Van Veen’s blood had stained it.<\/p>\n
The teenager will bank a whopping \u00a31million in prize money, with the winners’ jackpot having doubled from last year’s grand prize of \u00a3500,000. Van Veen, meanwhile, will collect a cool \u00a3400,000 following his impressive run to the final.<\/p>\n
