Meanwhile, Arsenal were among the first English clubs to make contact, and Chelsea is now also in the picture.

That interest comes alongside attention from across Europe. Clubs such as Barcelona have been linked, while Palmeiras continue to protect the player with a £86m (€100m) release clause and a long-term development plan.

Pressure, hype and staying grounded

In a recent interview with Spanish outlet ASEduardo Conceição gave a detailed insight into how he is handling the growing attention.

“The pressure is something natural for those who play for Palmeiras. We are used to dealing with it from a young age,” he explained.

Despite the headlines linking him with clubs across Europe, Eduardo insists he keeps his distance from the noise.

“I admit I do not usually read the news about me. My daily goal is to be in the best possible condition to show my value on the pitch. My agent knows that I do not even like to keep up with what happens outside football.”

He also highlighted the role of his family in keeping him grounded: “My family helps me a lot in that sense. They always remind me of the importance of keeping my feet on the ground.”

The youngster also made clear how much he values Palmeiras’ support in his development.

“I am very grateful to Palmeiras. Everything I am as a player comes from the work the club has done since I arrived. Knowing that I am valued for what I do on the pitch makes me very happy. One of his agents is Douglas Souza, father of Endrick.

“It is important to have someone close who has lived the experience of guiding his son to success. I can always learn from him. I hope I can get to know Endrick better one day.”

Comparisons with other young stars are inevitable, and Eduardo acknowledges them without letting them define him.

“Everyone who is starting out has to get used to comparisons. It is incredible to be compared with successful players I admire, but my goal is to build my own path and show who Eduardo is.”

Style of play – in his own words

When asked to describe his game, Eduardo Conceição offered a clear breakdown of his strengths.

“I like one-on-one situations, dribbling and beating opponents with speed. I think my style is quite similar to Estêvão’s, although he is left-footed and I am right-footed.”

He also drew a comparison at international level: “Yamal is a player with a similar style to mine, always looking for individual plays.”

The Palmeiras youngster added more detail about his positioning and role on the pitch.

“I have played most of the time on the left, but I can also play more centrally.
