Vonn, 41, crashed out of her opening downhill attempt in Italy just days after rupturing her cruciate ligament in practice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">She was airlifted to hospital, where she was told she had broken her leg and then underwent corrective surgery. Vonn has now offered a fresh update to her fans following fears that she might have lost her leg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">She took to social media to share videos of herself in the gym where she was shown lifting weights. She also shared one video where she put weight onto her leg.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cDefinitely some hard times, but still thankful\u2026 still working hard,\u201d Vonn\u2019s caption of the post read. \u201cThe only goal is to get healthy. I was really struggling, the pain was a little bit out of control and I had to have a blood transfusion. That helped me a lot and I turned the corner and now I am out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;I am in a wheelchair right now, I am very much immobile, and I will be in a wheelchair for a while because I also broke my right ankle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;I hope I can be on crutches in a little bit but we will see, and I will probably be on crutches for at least two months.
