Fulanis Kill Villagers In Plateau State

It is a black Christmas for the residents of Plateau State as Fulani herdsmen kill hundreds of people.

From the 23rd of December till 26th of December, residents of Plateau State have been massacred for no just cause by Fulani herdsmen. Particularly, the hotspot for the attacks has been the community called Bokkos.

The International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) on a tweet on X, noted that the military received not less than 36 distress calls by the Government of Plateau State following the attack on the 23rd of December.

The Governor of Plateau State in an interview with Arise TV noted that the exact number of deceased cannot be ascertained as the killings continued till 10pm yesterday. However, it is believed that over 160 villagers were massacred.

Several Nigerians took to social media to lament the massacre of the Plateau residents, calling it an unprecedented terrorist attack.

The military and the Federal Government have not released an official statement on how to track and convict the perpetrators. Hopefully, they are meant to face the music.
