Dan Rashford, the 31-year-old elder brother of Manchester United player Marcus Rashford, was arrested for domestic violence in Miami Beach, Florida, on October 20th. He was photographed in official police arrest images after his apprehension. Dan appeared in court the following day and was granted release on a $1500 (₦1,204,500.00) bond, along with a pre-trial stay away order prohibiting him from approaching the alleged victim.
On October 24th, he was formally charged with misdemeanor battery (domestic violence). Dan has since posted bail and is no longer in police custody. His court hearing is scheduled for November 27th. Miami Dade County Assistant State Prosecutor Daysi Vega-Mendez stated that the case is still active, and efforts are being made to contact the victim, including seeking permission from the UK Embassy to reach at to the victim as the victim is no where to be found.
Neither Dan's Rashford family members nor Manchester United have commented on the situation, as this is not the first time Dane has been in the headlines as it was reported in January 2019 were him and others made claim of being assaulted and rob, fortunately the three assailant were sent to jail.
