PRIMEBOY TURNS HIMSELF IN: ONE STEP CLOSER TO SOLVING MOHBAD'S DEATH

On October 4, 2023, the police had Nigerian singer, Primeboy, on their wanted list.

He was wanted in connection with the death of MohBad, and the Lagos State Police Command had set up a N1 million reward for his capture.

CONTROVERSIES

Primeboy, a boyhood friend of MohBad, was invited to a celebration of the singer's life, but he did not show up, as reported by Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos police command.

Unconfirmed rumours claimed that Primeboy struck the dead with a fetish instrument during the altercation.

Also keep in mind that on September 14th, Primeboy refuted claims that he killed his pal. He insisted that he had no idea what had occurred to the deceased and that his untimely passing had nonetheless startled him.

The Marlian CEO Azeez Fashola, more commonly referred to as Naira Marley, and his partner Balogun Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, have already been placed in custody in connection with Mohbad's passing. Ibrahim is now the current suspect.

On Thursday, October 5, 2023, early in the morning, Prime Boy surrendered himself to the police. The Lagos State Police Command's spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, published a statement that said, "Following his being declared wanted, Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin aka Primeboy has turned himself in".

Hundeyin confirmed that Primeboy was immediately taken into custody for questioning and other required procedures. And assured the family, friends, fans, and the general public of the Police's efforts to conduct a thorough investigation. The Command further guarantees that everyone discovered to be responsible for Mr. Ilerioluwa Aloba (a.k.a Mohbad's) death would be brought to justice.

Amid the widespread clamour of relatives, close associates, and compassionate Nigerians, the Nigerian police force continues to be diligent in ensuring that no information is left out in the enquiry into the terrible death of the late rapper Mohbad in September 2023.
